Don't have time to diet?

People who are busy often say they don’t have time to Diet Who has extra hours in their day to read complicated diet advice books or surf websites. If you can master these three basic principles, you'll be on your way to successful weight loss.
 Weight-Loss Tips
  1. If you choose the right foods, but eat too much of them, your weight-loss plan won't work. Most common mistake by dieters is to over eat organic foods and foods that are perceived to be healthy.
Portion control is an essential skill for effective weight loss. Chicken breast is great for you, but not if you eat more than you need. Some foods are better for your body than junk food, but they'll still cause if you overeat.
Stick to these portion sizes when planning your meals:
    • 1 serving of cereal = size of your fist
    • 1 serving of a starch (rice, pasta, potato) = half of a baseball
    • 1 serving of cheese = 4 stacked dice
    • 1 serving of fruit = baseball
    • 1 serving of margarine or butter = 1 dice
    • 1 serving of meat, fish, poultry = a deck of cards
  1. Count calories.  With the availability of mobile apps like the one at calorie counting .com it has become easier for people who are busy to track their calories. If you have a smartphone, calorie counting will take no more than a few seconds; your totals are stored so that you can review them.
Most people can reduce their daily intake by 500 calories per day to see a healthy weight loss of about 1 pound per week.
  1. Move more. This doesn't necessarily mean that you have to exercise For some people, exercise works against them. If you complete a hard workout in the morning and then spend the rest of day sitting or lying on the couch, you will probably end up burning fewer calories from movement than a person who does not exercise and who makes non-exercise activity a part of their daily habit.
  2. So start losing those extra pounds today.

Weight Loss in Winter Months

Most of us understand that there are 3500 calories in one pound of fat In order to lose one pound of weight per week, we need to cut out or burn an average of 500 calories for each day. It is possible to eliminate 500 calories from your diet, but it  is more enjoyable to use a combination of physical activity along with diet restriction to cut these calories. This is a basic guide, you can assume that by exercising for 60 minutes per day at a moderate to high intensity, you can burn between 300 and 500 calories. You only need to cut 200 (and sometimes even fewer) calories from your diet in order to achieve the goal of losing one pound per week.
Being physically active is an easy way to achieve and maintain weight loss.In the winter months, when it is cold, icy and snowy outside, almost impossible to exercise. Shorter days make you feel tired earlier, preventing a trip to the gym.  It's just so frigid outside, you can't bear the idea of heading to your usual yoga class. The lack of regular physical activity in the winter definitely contributes to higher levels of weight gain during the winter months.
